Coral Reef Targeted Research and Capacity Building

Project Description:

AJH has been one of the founding developers of the "Coral Reef Targeted Research and Capacity Building for Management" program supported by the Global Environment Facility and the World Bank. Under design and development since 1998, this project is coordinating more than 70 coral reef scientists from 50 institutions globally. The purpose of the project is to develop a longer term perspective and more proactive approach to uncover important unknowns for coral reef ecosystems. This approach can help nations that view their coral reefs resources as forms of natural capital with better decisions to sustain them for the future. AJH helped develop this program and has continued to serve in executing the project during Phase 1. More information can be found on the project's official web site at http://www.gefcoral.org.
