Ecosystem-based Management Tools

Project Description:

AJH assisted The Packard Foundation's Science for Conservation Program by supporting its 2008 solicitation for 'Statements of Need' that examined the use of Ecosystem-based Management Tools as specifically applied in developing countries. More than 55 Statements of Need were received and evaluated. From those, three proposals were invited by The Packard Foundation to either further explore the need for EBM tools and their applications, or to pilot specific software tools at the local level. The coutries where these pilots took places were The Philippines, Fiji and The Dominican Republic. AJH provided assisted by helping to coordinate the solicitation and review of statements and proposals. More information about Ecosyetem-based Management Tools can be reviewed by going to the EBMTools Network, as well as the Packard Foundation Web Site.
